Where your acne is located can tell you much about the probable cause. For example, many people experience perioral acne (acne around the mouth and on the chin) when they are “hormonal.” Acne that is on or around the hairline and down the sides of the cheeks can be caused by hair products. Many customers are ordering the trio and we want to make sure you know the complete benefits of the Kairos Oil Reducing – Pore Perfecting Treatment. Remember, the treatment should only be used as directed on the scalp by those individuals who have a VERY oily scalp. With the pointed tip applicator, squirt lines of the product in three or four rows and then massage into your scalp. Leave it on for a few minutes before rinsing. There is no need to pull it through the hair, just treat the scalp. The shampoo and conditioner will do the rest to protect and prevent your hair from causing breakouts. For those of you who don’t have to wash your hair every day, you may be able to get by with just using the scalp treatment only once a week. Or, even just use it as a face and body wash if it is too drying for your scalp. Some customers have said that they just dab it on new pimples and it is very effective in drying them up quickly! Remember, reducing the oil on your scalp makes your face less oily, too. So if you suffer from midday oiliness on your face, the Kairos Oil Reducing – Pore Perfecting Treatment may be just what you so that the only shine on your face throughout the day is your beautiful smile!

If you’re reading this blog, chances are you already know that hair can aggravate acne. What might not be so entirely clear is how. The truth is, there are many ways in which hair exacerbates acne conditions.
Damaging Hair Products
It might seem unexpected, because you never spray hairspray in your face, but the hair products you use can contribute a great deal to acne problems. There are two primary reasons for this. Firstly, hair products actually do come in contact with the skin on your face, even when you’re not aware of it. This can happen several ways: when you wash your hair and the product runs into your face, while applying (especially with sprays), when you touch your hair and then your face, and when hair lies on skin are all circumstances that get hair product on your face. Also, when you sleep, product can get on your pillow, which then spreads everywhere.
Another reason that hair products irritate acne is because some of them increase production of sebum, a natural oil. In moderate quantities, sebum is good, but when there is too much, it can spread on your face, causing an overabundance of oily skin, which leads to favorable conditions for acne. That’s why it’s so important to pick your hair products carefully, especially if you have acne. Not doing so can have serious consequences for your skin.
Knowing How to Prevent Acne is Half the Battle
Now that you know what role hair can play in acne, it’s easier to help prevent that unfortuante interaction. We offer a whole range of anti-acne hair care products which are designed to not only help eliminate the issues caused by hair products but to actually help treat the acne itself. To avoid the complications associated with using irritating hair styling products, try items like our Soft Control Clear Style Hair Gel. Products like our Oil-Reducing Pore-Perfecting Treatment finish the job by tackling the acne itself.

Our Anti-Acne Hair Care Trio is a discounted purchase of three products designed to work together to combat acne in a comprehensive, complementary way. At Kairos, our products are already used to multitasking. We’ve decided to take that approach one step further by bundling our Clarifying Complex-Clearing Shampoo, our Balancing Breakout-Controlling Conditioner, and our Oil-Reducing Pore-Perfecting Treatment. Why fight acne one way when you can do it with three methods?
Anti-Acne Hair Care Trio: How It Works
Even without the added skin care benefit, these three products would work well together as the core of a hair care regimen; however, the Anti-Acne Hair Care Trio bundle is very effective at eliminating, treating, and preventing acne breakouts. Here’s how:
- Clarifying Complex-Clearing Shampoo works to clear blemishes and prevent future ones while simultaneously cleansing and detoxifying hair. The anti-acne shampoo also does a great job of eliminating any products left in the hair, which are notorious for enhancing oiliness in the skin that exacerbates acne.
- Balancing Breakout-Controlling Conditioner does what any great conditioner should by softening, detangling, smoothing, and moisturizing your hair. At the same time, however, it also reduces the appearance of blemishes and helps prevent future acne breakouts.
- Oil-Reducing Pore-Perfecting Treatment is applied biweekly after the use of the Clarifying Complex-Clearing Shampoo. This anti-acne hair care treatment works to dramatically reduce excess oils on the face and scalp, reducing that greasy look while lessening the frequency, intensity, and duration of future breakouts.
Taken together, these products provide an excellent three-pronged attack against acne while providing world-class care for your hair.
The Kairos Anti-Acne Hair Care Philosophy
We believe that anti-acne hair care doesn’t simply mean removing aggravating oils from our products. It’s more than that. Our products specifically attack acne, reducing the appearance of blemishes and altering the conditioning of your skin to ensure that blemishes don’t return. Sure, we eliminate those oils from our products, but then we treat your acne problem and work to prevent it from coming back. That’s the Kairos way.
