Where is your acne?

Tuesday, December 1st, 2009

Where your acne is located can tell you much about the probable cause.  For example, many people experience perioral acne (acne around the mouth and on the chin) when they are “hormonal.”  Acne that is on or around the hairline and down the sides of the cheeks can be caused by hair products.  To find out more acne facts, visit the Kairos acne help center at http://www.kairosclear.com/acne-help/

Oil Reducing – Pore Perfecting Treatment

Thursday, October 29th, 2009

Many customers are ordering the trio and we want to make sure you know the complete benefits of the Kairos Oil Reducing – Pore Perfecting Treatment.  Remember, the treatment should only be used as directed on the scalp by those individuals who have a VERY oily scalp.  With the pointed tip applicator, squirt lines of the product in three or four rows and then massage into your scalp.  Leave it on for a few minutes before rinsing.  There is no need to pull it through the hair, just treat the scalp.  The shampoo and conditioner will do the rest to protect and prevent your hair from causing breakouts.  For those of you who don’t have to wash your hair every day, you may be able to get by with just using the scalp treatment only once a week.  Or, even just use it as a face and body wash if it is too drying for your scalp. Some customers have said that they just dab it on new pimples and it is very effective in drying them up quickly!  Remember, reducing the oil on your scalp makes your face less oily, too.  So if you suffer from midday oiliness on your face, the Kairos Oil Reducing – Pore Perfecting Treatment may be just what you so that the only shine on your face throughout the day is your beautiful smile!

How to use Kairos for best results…

Thursday, October 29th, 2009

Many customers have called about how and when to use Kairos Acne Solutions.  The simple answer is… whenever you wash your hair! Just using the shampoo and then using salon conditioners WILL NOT WORK effectively to clear up your acne!  Additionally, using Kairos Shampoo and Conditioner and then using your old styling products WILL NOT WORK effectively to clear up your acne!  Many people ask if they can use their “regular” shampoo and conditioner and then use Kairos when they get breakouts.  The answer is… not if you want to get clear and stay clear! The way Kairos works is to help treat the acne that is there and then to help PREVENT new acne from popping up. If you go back to your old habits of using other hair products, you will not get the full benefit of staying clear!  New acne in the morning is never a pleasant surprise!  So, when using Kairos Acne Care Solutions, make sure you follow the directions carefully for each product and stick with the Kairos hair care line for all of your cleansing, conditioning and styling needs.  Kairos – Where healthy hair and clear skin meet!

Acne can leave permanent physical scars but the emotional ones hurt the most

Sunday, October 18th, 2009

Acne sufferers have one thing in common. Their acne hurts.  Only some of them suffer the physical pain, but it’s safe to say that mostly all of them suffer some emotional pain associated with their acne.  I had a patient once tell me that having acne was like being forced to wear an ugly outfit everday.  For some reason, that stuck with me.  I guess it was my aha! moment that acne isn’t something to be taken lightly and people are not able to be the best they can be because of it.  Most people who don’t suffer from acne have never taken the time to consider how painful and embarrassing it can be.  Having worked for many years in a super busy acne clinic with many severe cases of acne, it became crystal clear that it is a disease that can damage the self-esteem by making you feel self conscious and not able to get out there and do what you want to do.  I want nothing more than to help you get clear and stay clear!  People who don’t know that their hair products are contributing to their acne are getting pimples (and maybe even scarring from those pimples) that they never should have had in the first place!  It is our goal to make sure that everyone knows that hair care products can make your acne worse and also to make sure that everyone knows they now have an alternative to traditional hair care products.  Kairos — now you can have beautiful hair AND clear skin!

How Hair Can Aggravate Acne

Tuesday, August 25th, 2009

If you’re reading this blog, chances are you already know that hair can aggravate acne.  What might not be so entirely clear is how.  The truth is, there are many ways in which hair exacerbates acne conditions.

Damaging Hair Products

It might seem unexpected, because you never spray hairspray in your face, but the hair products you use can contribute a great deal to acne problems.  There are two primary reasons for this.  Firstly, hair products actually do come in contact with the skin on your face, even when you’re not aware of it.  This can happen several ways: when you wash your hair and the product runs into your face, while applying (especially with sprays), when you touch your hair and then your face, and when hair lies on skin are all circumstances that get hair product on your face.  Also, when you sleep, product can get on your pillow, which then spreads everywhere.

Another reason that hair products irritate acne is because some of them increase production of sebum, a natural oil.  In moderate quantities, sebum is good, but when there is too much, it can spread on your face, causing an overabundance of oily skin, which leads to favorable conditions for acne.  That’s why it’s so important to pick your hair products carefully, especially if you have acne.  Not doing so can have serious consequences for your skin.

Knowing How to Prevent Acne is Half the Battle

Now that you know what role hair can play in acne, it’s easier to help prevent that unfortuante interaction.  We offer a whole range of anti-acne hair care products which are designed to not only help eliminate the issues caused by hair products but to actually help treat the acne itself.  To avoid the complications associated with using irritating hair styling products, try items like our Soft Control Clear Style Hair Gel.  Products like our Oil-Reducing Pore-Perfecting Treatment finish the job by tackling the acne itself.

How Do I Get Rid of Acne?

Friday, August 21st, 2009

How do I get rid of acne? This is a question we hear quite a bit — and it’s a great question. Getting rid of acne requires a lot of patience, effort and trial and error. You may be at the point where you feel like you’ve tried everything possible, and nothing is working. Facial cleansers, masks, topical ointments, diet — all of these things are surely worth trying, but there may be something you’re forgetting about.

Get Rid of Acne with Anti-Acne Hair Care

It may be possible to get rid of acne by using anti-acne hair care. Often overlooked as the source of the problem, hair care products can contain ingredients that actually aggravate acne. While your hair might look and feel fabulous, your skin could be suffering. These acne-aggravating ingredients are easily transferred from your hair to your skin when you touch your hair and then touch your face, or when your hair lies on your skin, for example.

Kairos Anti-Acne Hair Care system leaves your hair looking great — without causing any breakouts. You get salon-quality hair care benefits and do not have to worry about any harmful ingredients clogging your pores and giving you breakouts.

If you’re looking for a way to get rid of acne, it’s worth trying anti-acne hair care products. Kairos is proud to offer several products, like anti-acne shampoo and anti-acne conditioner. As for styling products, we have Soft Control Clear Style Hair Gel and Spiking Clear Style Hair Glue. These products won’t flake — they just provide long-lasting hold for a sleek style.
