Are you in the red with rosacea?

Tuesday, March 30th, 2010

While acne and rosacea are different diseases, they are linked and similar because they are inflammatory conditions that have no cure.  However, the symptoms can be treated effectively and should be treated before they worsen.  If you have some of the following symptoms, you may want to see a Dermatologist for further evaluation…

1.  Does your face flush easily?

2.  Do temperature changes make your face turn redder than most people and last longer?

3.  Do you have redness on your cheeks, nose and chin that won’t go away?

4.  Does your face stay red for a long time after you experience stress or eat a spicy meal?

5.  Do you have sensitive skin?

6.  Do your eyes get watery/bloodshot or burn?

Rosacea, if left untreated can lead to vision problems so it is important for you to get evaluated if you are experiencing any of the symptoms listed above.  If you think you have rosacea, some simple lifestyle changes can help.  Like many other diseases, stress can exacerbate your rosacea. Reducing and avoiding stress can help limit flare ups.  Pay attention to your routine and keep a journal to find out when your rosacea becomes worse.  Limiting the aggravating culprits will help minimize your symptoms.  Sunglasses are a must for eye protection and rosacea sufferers should always wear sunscreen to protect their face as the sun can cause flare ups, also.  We would certainly be remiss if we didn’t mention how many of our Kairos Acne Care Solutions users have found that their rosacea has improved since using our hair care products.  Remember, it is an inflammatory condition, and Kairos is built to fight inflammation!

Where is your acne?

Where your acne is located can tell you much about the probable cause.  For example, many people experience perioral acne (acne around the mouth and on the chin) when they are “hormonal.”  Acne that is on or around the hairline and down the sides of the cheeks can be caused by hair products.  To find out more acne facts, visit the Kairos acne help center at http://www.kairosclear.com/acne-help/

Fight Breakouts with Anti-Acne Hair Gel

Wednesday, August 5th, 2009

Meet your new secret weapon in fighting breakouts: anti-acne hair gel. Part of Kairos Clear’s anti-acne hair care system — the first-ever complete system of its kind — anti-acne hair gel fights frizz, provides a smooth, relaxed hold, and best of all, it’s formulated to treat and prevent breakouts.

A lot of hair gels out there contain ingredients that can cause acne breakouts by exacerbating overproduction by the sebaceous glands, and that can trigger a further imbalance by clogging pores. When this happens, it’s possible for acne to appear on the chest, back, neck and jaw line — not just on the face.

Even if you’re really careful to avoid putting any hair care products on your face or close to your hairline, the fact remains that what you put in your hair will most likely eventually end up on your face. For example, if you touch your hair and then touch your face, or if you hair lies on your skin. And at night, oils from hair care products can be transferred from your pillowcase to the skin on your face, chest, back and neck. All of these situations increase the risk of acne.

But Kairos Soft Control Clear Style Hair Gel is anti-acne hair gel that was designed to not only provide salon-quality hair care benefits, but to do so without causing acne breakouts. This is a high-quality blend of natural ingredients, and the gel won’t flake — just non-sticky definition for sleek styles or natural curls.

Using Anti-Acne Hair Gel

Using anti-acne hair gel is simple: Just apply it to wet hair, work it through to ends and style as you desire. Kairos suggests using anti-acne shampoo, treatment and conditioner as well.

Many acne sufferers have been told to just not use any hair care products or to use very little. But it doesn’t have to be that way, thanks to Kairos Clear’s anti-acne hair care system and Kairos anti-acne hair gel.
